MRCT and the Husky 4 Immigrants Coalition celebrate a huge win and vow to keep fighting!

On May 9th, 2022 Governor Lamont signed the state budget that will provide funding for the expansion of the HUSKY program for undocumented children up to the age of 12. This expansion will also provide healthcare access to these children until they turn 19 years old. This expansion will start on January 1st, 2023.

Make The Road CT, community members and organizations from the Husky 4 Immigrants Coalition showed up at the capitol day after day and demanded legislators not forget our community and our children, and we WON!

This is not the end! We are committed to our community and we will not rest until all of us have access to affordable healthcare!
