Rally for Education and Sanctuary!

Bridgeport deserves a city that provides quality education and protects its immigrant community! Our city has a large immigrant community that lives in fear of what a Trump presidency will mean for them and their families.

Over the past couple of weeks Make the Road CT members have been collecting petitions and writing letters to deliver to the mayor of Bridgeport asking for a Sanctuary City for our Bridgeport Residents.

At the same time, Make the Road members have been doing a lot of work to defend the rights on Bridgeport resident to have quality education no matter where you come from.

For this reason, Make the Road members are allies will come together on January 19th to send a strong message to the new federal administration and to the city of Bridgeport that our community is #heretostay and that we will fight for cities that offer quality education and protect their residents.

Join us on January 19th at 2:30 Bassick High School to talk about the need for quality education for all our students and from there we will be going together to deliver our petitions and letters to the Mayor at city hall.
